The house

I keep thinking I'm going to sit down and write a giant blog post about the process of buying the house. But, I'm not.

It was stressful and a handful and frankly I don't want to relieve the process. What's important out of it? We got the house! So here, meet my new home, my forever project, and what I'm going to be talking about nonstop.

Change is in the air!

Happy Vernal Equinox! As it's been some time since I've shared anything with you, I thought it would be apropos to start blogging again on the first day of spring. Consider my absence as a prolonged winter hibernation?

Spring is a time for reawakening, growth, and new discoveries. It's a peaceful time as the snow melts away and green starts to shoot from the trees. The grass is the brightest green it will be all year, and the birds seem to sing their song just a little bit brighter. There have been lots of changes going on while I've been away from the blogging world, and I am really excited to get back on here and start sharing my story again!

The biggest news? We bought a house! So I'm planning on doing a little revamping on the back-end and coming back to share the process of buying a house, moving, and making my new house into our new home! Stay tune for details.....

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! Mr. K and I've snuck away this weekend to enjoy one last hurrah before Labor Day. We spent part of our honeymoon in Lubec, Maine and decided to sprint back to enjoy it in the last rays of summer. It's a small, charming, picture-perfect fishing village all the way up on the Canadian/Maine boarder. East Quoddy Head (pictured above) is the first place in the continential USA to see the sun rise each morning.

What are you up to this weekend? Any last summer escapes?
